These are transparent watercolors. Adding any sort of light wash over the extant color will dissolve the current color. Further, adding black over brown makes it... ah... unpleasant. Any time I change the color, I have to repaint the whole cat.
I take it you want her to be more black than brown? I can re-mix my brown to get it closer to black, but it will always carry a slight red tinge -- the only other option is using the standard black, which is closer to the black of the linework.
EDIT: When I get home, I can re-scan the image, to let you see what the current color looks like, and you can tell me if it's suitable or not. (I'm currently at school, and will be until late tonight.)
Hm. I do want her really dark, but I don't want you to have to repaint her. Show me the scan, we'll go from there? (I'll be back in 13 hours. *goes off to work with a stack of library books to read*)
