So, because I just saw PotC2, and because I've practically been trapped in the house thanks to a cyst stealing my binocular vision (and therefore my ability to drive -- KHAAAN!), I present to you this:

http://www.tolemour.com/index.cfm?SID=21&MID=3

The Tole Mour is a tallship that sails out of Avalon. It offers learning cruises to students under eighteen for a fair price. It also has running battles with other ships along the California coast.

I went kayaking out on the island and saw it sailing along, blasting its "cannons" -- absolutely beautiful. If you have the money and fit the age requirement, sign up for next year's cruise. Or better yet! Send some poor, unassuming younger sibling to Catalina and don't tell them why. >:3

Yar!

My eyeball wants to kill things, but it appriciates teh wub. :3

It was... well, about halfway through, I realized how it was going to "end" and was a little dissapointed. But aside from that: yes. The visual gags were hilarious, Jack's poncy running was worth the whole movie, and the fact that Davy Jones looked as photorealistic as he did and yet was completely and utterly CGI blew me out of the water (pun totally intended).

I guess it's THAT Avalon that CSN was singing about in the song "Southern Cross"...

In that noisy bar in Avalon, I tried to call you
But on the Midnight Watch I realized--why twice you ran away!

...I'd just decided to stop downloading music, but alas, now I have to find that just so I've heard it at least once and know what it sounds like.

*sighs and patpats her poor compy's memory*
