Battle Hymn is out!

I really should have kept tabs (it's been out for a while, evedently!), but ah, now I need to to go to the comics shop. Damn. Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in! XD

Now, if only I can find out when Anthem comes out, I will be of the win!

But still sick.

I was going over Usenet Replayer and reading over scans of WW2-vintage "All-American" (Justice Society of America) issues overnight, mostly because I wanted a sample Hop Harrigan story or two. You know that All-American Publications wasn't taken over by DC till after the War, right?

Anyway, a great way to get read on really old comics is to troll Usenet Replayer and punch in likely titles.

I wonder if there'd be a sequel to "Battle Hymn" in which superhero teams which were independant during the War were forced to reorganize, just like the Armed Forces were forced to reorganize when the Department of Defense was founded (Air Force made independant, rearrangement of mission profiles, and so on). Corporate mergers are so messy.

As far as a sequel, there is one planned for Battle Hymn, and it might be interesting to see something like that. But I dunno what they got planned. As I haven't even read it yet, I'm at a complete loss as to what to expect.
