Damnit, damnit, damnit.

I've just spent the last month weaning our turtle off corn. I bought him calcium powder and tried to get his calcium up, and had been only feeding him lettuce.

So what does mom do?

She feeds him corn, because "it was just a little bit, and he likes it".

Yeah. Terriffic. Now he won't eat lettuce for who-knows-how-long, because you wanted to be stupid and give him a treat. Thanks mom.

Well, maybe try some other types of greens? I think lettuce is mostly just water anyway. Most veggie-eating critters go for...whatsit, spinach, kale, alfalfa, that type of thingy. Maybe he'll like one of those better? :D?

We've tried spinach and greenbeans and some other things -- he won't touch 'em. We give him the lettuce 'cuz that's what he will eat (given that we've "starved" him a week -- haw, fatass).

Oh well. Another month, and hopefully he'll be back on schedule.
