Why, DC, why?

I can stand Superman. Usually. But that whole movie thing you're doing right now, with his blue and brown costume that looks like it's made outta something an Olympic swimmer would have rejected? And the fact that he looks twelve? And that the anatomy I'm seeing through the costume makes me cringe almost as much as Rob Liefeld artwork?

ARGH.

At least the anatomy is real. But still.

Is it too much to ask that costumes be left alone? That character designs be respected? I'm sure the movie itself will be okay, but we're going to a movie for the frikkin' visuals, man! If I didn't care about that, I'd be listening to the radio show! (Well, I do listen to the radio show, but that's neither here nor there.)

This is not giving me hope at all.

*sniffle* Owl Man...

Where you seeing this? And how does a guy whose willy is too big for the movies count as twelve?

His face makes him look too young to play Supes, is all I'm sayin'.

Looks fine to me. You can really tell where they censored his bits. XD It's a dark red, yes, but all the other live actions have had it be fairly dark, as well. He doesn't look to young to me, and if thisis a beginning of career thing, well, he *is* young.

Everything eventually falls back to wang.

It's some law of the universe that no one's bothered to write down.

Hm. S'pose it's a kind of reddish-brown, but it's not what I was expecting as "brown". I've seen other stills where things look redder. We'll see, I guess.

Have to say, though, the gent doesn't look too young to me, and I'm bloody picky sometimes when it comes to Superman ^_^ The first pic, especially, looks "right" to me.

In fact, for quite some years now the Superman in the actual books has looked too old -- or at least too worn -- for my liking! XD

As long as you like him. ^__^

But me, personally?

Me want older. *plots evil and kittens and time machines with steam engines* XD

Ooer, plots ... XD

I can handle older after this one. We'll just change it up a bit for a little while ... *hees*

So, what do you think, then, of Clark in Kingdom Come .. or Kal-L currently knocking about the DCU in this bedamned ICrisis? *is shot*

KC Clark makes sense given his context.

I don't follow current DC. Or, at least, I avoid IC. It burns me like a burny thing. And, on the whole, I think modern comic art is horrible. So there's another fine strike.

I just want a Clark who looks believable. I mean, 35. Is that too much to ask that he looks over 30? Irregardless of the actor's age, he looks in his twenties. That... makes no sense. *brain a'splode*

KC does, yes. And looks awesome with a ponytail ^_^

I didn't follow current DC, and then was quite horrifed when I nosed around the books again and saw what had been done to favorites of mine while I was gone *coughBruceandClarkcough*

I want to at least know what the damage is this time, so I have some kind of advance warning :P

As for over 30 ... I could handle a 35-yr-old Clark XD

But just at this moment -- with all the stupid DC has been handing me re Superman for over a decade -- I'm going to enjoy an actor who puts me in mind of the Silver Age books I read when I was younger ^_^ Because it makes me feel better, in a bizarre wish-it-never-went-away kind of way ^_^

Irregardless != regardless. The Ir- is redundant. >_<
