It's raining and the lights have flickered at least once.

On the upside, both my roomies and I are hikers/backpackers, so we are perhaps over-prepared for a potential power outage.

We survived this part of the storm with our power intact!

Other parts of the state weren't so lucky -- Sacramento lost a fair chunk of their grid yesterday.

Hopefully, the next wave of rain spares us again. Most homes in this area don't even have gas ranges or gas heaters. Having grown up with both, any power outage is a chance for a long-winded rant about the lack of said ammenities.
