I am sorry to have had to tell you this thing, kiff. *hugs*

The soapstone owl is pretty sturdy, it's just the tail and wingtips that have been the victim of my fumbles. Petting is always acceptable! The top of the head and the throat-chest area are somwhat smoother than they were when I bought it, because for years I used the little statuette as a worrystone. *sheepish*
