I've been pretty much MIA, I know, and I apologize. A lot has happened, school-wise, to keep me busy. O-Chem has required nearly all of my free time, and I have projects due in my other two classes. Eugh.

Voodoo is still in the shop. I've been checking up on her periodically and things seem to be going well. They'd pulled her fender last week -- they had to cut and re-weld part of her tail because they'd knocked off so much Bondo that there was nothing left to hold anything together. This week, they started Bondo-ing and will have primer down by the end of the week. Paint is next week. She looks good. I'm very pleased with their work. They also tracked down a new tail light bracket to replace the old, smashed one, and will be replacing her "Karmann Chia" logo with a proper one. :3

The Taurus finally dropped its trans entirely about a week ago, and it was taken by a junk yard tow to be parted up. It was a good car.

My mom is working things out with our mechies down South to get Jeeves' nose pulled and a new fender and door attached, and to get him re-glassed. He should go into the shop in about a month. I think they may just leave him primered once the work is done. They just want him running. Also, I don't think my parents have settled on what color to paint him -- my dad wants British Racing Green, my mom wants Mirror Black. They may compromise with a Mirror Gray. We shall see.

Also, as one final present from my Gramma, it appears that what moneys we got from the sale of her house will be enough to buy a new car. My parents want Voodoo home and garaged. They told me I could get whatever I wanted.

What think you folks?

They're unstoppable when they're running, lead weight when they're not, and money pits no matter what. X3

The best thing about them is that they're very easy to work on. I love having a car that I can fix, myself, should I not have any other alternative. In the past, I have. But when I get a new car, that won't be an option anymore. I won't like that.

I loved my '74 Plymouth Reliant for that reason. I could change the air filter and check oil and all kinds of things--without taking it to a dealership. :P

Oh, and I meant to add that I'm glad Voodoo is looking good and should be home soon-ish. :)
