Changes Are No Good

I couldn't sleep until I did this.
On Wednesday, my uncle put down his collie, Sandy.
She was twelve.
Just like Chip, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I hadn't seen her for three months. But, unlike with Chip, my uncle called me and told me what he was doing.
When I would go and stay over, Sandy would sleep on the floor next to my bed. We'd wrestle in the afternoons when no one was looking, and I'd sneak her meat from the table at dinner. When we'd go for walks, we'd always end them sitting in the grass together, people-watching.
Sandy was a big, dumb blonde, and I loved her.

The single most undignified picture Sandy could have is, oddly, the one that shows her personality best. Snot plain on her nose, but she's still got that big grin that she gave everyone and anyone that petted her.
