First Fandom Ever:
I'm gonna say it's a tie between The Invaders and Spider-Man, only because I honestly can't remember which I got into first.
Most Recent Fandom:
I hesitate to say "Star Trek". I've always been into Star Trek, it's just gotten more fuel lately because of New Voyages. So... The most recent is probably New Voyages.
Five Fandoms That Currently Mean A Lot To Me
1. The Invaders - Both New and Wartime, I just dig this team. They hardly ever get along, plans fail more than they succeed, and Jim has more angsty android moments than should be comic-ly possible. Plus, how many series have a plot centered around Nazis stealing someone's underpants?
2. Watchmen - I totally blame ed. I got the book (out of the Children's Section at the Pasadena Library, what?!), read it, read it again, decided that Nite Owl was the coolest thing EVER, and the rest is Kifstory. :3 And yes, I do have a pet mouse named 'Daniel'.
3. TNG - I've been a Trekkie since I was wee. My Gramma is a Trekkie, my uncle is a Trekkie, it's inherited. And I grew up watching TNG. Picard is the Captain. The Enterprise-D is the ship. And you better as hell let the android bring his kitty on the bridge.
4. New Voyages - I defend my right to fangirl a fanseries. There are Chekovs (plural!), cranky Bones moments, and Sulus from the foo-char! Now if only NV had renewed the interest in fanfic for TOS.
5. Animal Man - Best second-stringer in the history of ever. And he knows you exist. And his best friend is a walking jigsaw puzzle. AND he decked his own creator. That's awesome.
