kiffieTomorrow, I am going to attempt to mail my aunt some fruitcake. Now, as said aunt lives in Pennsylvania, it will probably take near a week to get to her. In preparation for this trip, the fruitcake has been liberally soaked in rum (to kill off any spoilage organisms on the outside) and wrapped in foil. It will be put into a mostly airtight Ziplock in the morning, then into its mailing box.
What else should I do? Has anyone else on my flist had any experience mailing delicious noms across the country?
