kiffieI went home this weekend. Which means I had access to my main comics stash.
Several coughing fits (and spider webs) later, I emerged victorious! I found most of my H4H run and a good chunk of my Avengers run, along with some odds-and-ends Captain America books and a few old Invaders books.
But-- and an eliyes may want to pay attention here --I also found that issue of She Hulk I'd mentioned. Y'know, the one with time travel hijinks?
So, for you, ely, I bring scans:
This should be revisited at some point. I would love to see Shulkie deck modern-day Namor.
And, just because I could, I also scanned some Jim scenes from Heroes for Hire. These may only appeal to me, but I'll include them here, anyway.
Oh, hey, it's a Jim! :D
Jim spends a lot of his time in this series just sitting around in fancy-looking chairs, thinking about things, and looking quite clueless. Probably because the writer really had no idea what to do with him half the time. He didn't have powers for most of the run (aside from having an epic beard), and didn't go along on missions. But that was okay, because the artist got to show off Jim's hilarious t-shirt collection on a monthly basis. Sing it with me, now-- Totoro! Totoro...!
When he wasn't sitting around, petting one of his cats like a B-grade movie villain, he was arguing with Iron Fist. His threats were mostly just posturing, however...
...and he showed his true feelings about the group when Namor came to shut things down. (Also -- Jim, honey, your taste in art is horrendous. Though, I suppose a machine liking abstract sculpture is a win?)
I'm disappointed that those two never really had a talk about what went down, here. I would think it would be something Jim would hold against ol' Fishface, but come the more recent Invaders series, neither seem to care very much about it. Humph.
Now I go off to spend the rest of my night doing homework and fretting about the coming week of schooling. You know, just business as usual.
