My late-night TV show of choice is, and always has been, Conan O'Brien.
And I may sound pathetic for having any sort of care, whatsoever, for a talk show host, but I kinda want to say this.
I've been watching Conan this last week and noticing how Our Redheaded Overlord seemed on-edge and stressed -- the crap going down with NBC cannot be good for his mental health. Each show seemed to be more and more forced as the week went on. The monologues shorter and more curt, the jokes less funny, the interplay between host and band almost nil. But tonight, when Jeff Bridges came on and played guitar and sang, holy crap, Conan looked genuinely happy.
The Tonight Show may be ending, but I'm happy that Conan got a truly good moment out of his last weeks. He needed it.
