I know this is long-overdue, and I apologize.
As many of you know, I left SLO back at the end of February. I'd like to say it was my own choice, but it wasn't. Several things all converged at the same time: My landlord passed away, I got a job offer in Altadena, and my dad's available funds to help me stay on the Central Coast ran out, all at once.
After leaving San Luis, I returned home to LA and started work at a local veterinary hospital. What was supposed to be a 40-hour week turned out to be a near-60-hour week, and I haven't had much time to myself since. What time I have had has been sporadic, stressful, and filled with that horrific manic energy that you only get when something horrible awaits you at the end of the day.
Right now, I'm home sick with a throat infection-- the second I've gotten since starting this job --and I think I'm not really cut out for such long hours.
On to other things: I haven't forgotten that I have commissions due; I've arted a little since the move, but nothing concrete due to the inability to take a full day to do much of anything. I'm hoping I can find some way to allot my time to allow for proper arting.
And a big thank you to the people who sent me birthday wishes. I'm sorry I didn't really respond. I hope this internet hug makes up for it: ( ._.|._. )
You are all awesome, and I'm really grateful to have such great internet buddies.
