New Critter

A friend of mine had a project in her parasitology class that involved her catching an animal from the local stream and dissecting it to pull any parasites. Well, that was the plan, anyway. She caught a crayfish, intending full well to harvest his hitchhikers for class. Somewhere along the way, though, she realized she'd grown too fond of the little water-roach to hurt him. But she couldn't keep him, either. So, ah...
