Voodoo Update
Feb. 1st, 2008 11:50 pmI took her over to Broadstreet today to get her steering wheel tightened.
( A slight sidetrack. )
When they installed the steering box last Friday, the wheel, proper, hadn't been set into its grooves correctly and was sliding ever-so-slightly from side to side as I drove. It wasn't effecting performance much, but it became an issue when "straight" could mean either my steering wheel "right-side-up" or "left" depending on the car's mood. But the main mechanic took the entire wheel off, thwacked it a few times, then reinstalled it. Problem solved.
He also put a new bolt into the gimpy windshield wiper. It doesn't waggle anymore. :D
However, as if to point out that she is still old and therefore entitled to special treatment and neverending praise, as I took some pleasure in overtaking a sportscar on the way home, she GROUND second gear. It was very much the same sound as having a fork stuck in the garbage disposal. This happened twice before I gave up and went to third, instead.
Damn car. B|

random_redshirt? :D :D :D
