I wanted to be a petty officer (one rank below ensign), but I couldn't get the "hollow pip" to look right. Oh well.
I wish I'd gotten one when I was little! And command colours, at that! Sadly, kiffies don't look good in red. But yes. This is quite warm. The pants, which blessedly you cannot see, are quite cold, however. I never seem to learn my lesson about tight clothes and cold climates.
