Delicious fashion article from the NY Times.

Two-page article with a very awesome slideshow. Fashion eye-candy. :3

...I'm not sure if I should applaud or make, "Si, el Presidente Lincoln!" jokes.

Just got off the phone with my dad. A lady came by last week and stripped all of the wallpaper off of my Gramma's house.

My aunt felt that wallpaper would hurt the selling value. Everything was removed. Mind that the entire house had been papered. There were no bare walls.

Now? Gone.

I don't think I'll be able to go inside anymore. I could deal with all of the furniture removed (I have some of it here, as a matter of fact), with the old phone torn from the wall, even with all of the photos taken down from their places. But the wallpaper was the one thing that made that place.

It's completely silly, I know.

My dad did manage to find samples of paper from nearly every room in the house. The state seals from the lower hallway, the flowers from the lower bedroom, the Victorian blues from the front hall. The Independence paper from the upstairs bathroom is completely lost, however.

I'm going to have them all scanned.

Someday, I want them in my house.

I went to a workday at the zoo not terribly long ago. This being an extra credit sort of assignment for a class that involves being unpaid labor for the local zoo. (And coming home smelling like porcupine.)

While there, I gained a scuff on the top of one of my boots.

Really, this isn't a big deal. While noticeable, the boots aren't "nice" shoes, nor are they supposed to be. They're the shoes I wear every single day and bought because they could take a considerable beating.

But the scuff bothers me.

It's just so... there. In the same way that sweaters get loose threads or coats get moth holes, it's a side-affect of using. Except both of those can be fixed. A scuff is there, always, mocking.

I think I may be slightly OCD.

While this may be quite dashing, it will also make you easy to spot should a tiny, angry Frenchman come looking for you.

My dad now has some stylin' new shoes.

We went to Olvera St. for them. They are pretty and leather and yay. :3

I am happy, because I got to look around. I also got some cedar powder to put on the inside lining of my jacket. Hopefully, the moths will no longer find it delicious.

I think I'm gonna give this "not helping" thing a try.

You know.

Just to see if I can do it.

MOAR.

Eh? Eh? :D ?
