Basic Repairs

One of the most common interior fixes on old VWs -- re-screwing the window cranks back on their posts. This one fell off when I'd reached inside to grab my camera.

I don't think that's just old dubs (although it looks easier to fic that my mom's K-car).

Dad had to take off the whole inner panel of the door. He put it back on. When he had to take it off to fix his van, though, he didn't.

Ouch. That's... a crapton more work than I'd be willing to do. :/

Just imagine what he'd have to do to fix things now that mom's got a car with power windows!

(Except she'd break his fingers yell at him a lot if he tried; the car's a long-term lease, if it breaks, the people leasing it to her have to fix or replace it.)
