Things!

Just returned from another trip down to LA. This is hopefully the last one, and now I can focus on other things, like the arts I owe. :D

Tomorrow is art day! Someday, I will figure out how to stream, and I can share the arting with folks. Well, probably only the one or two of you who are bored enough to watch me doodling, anyhow.

Also, while I was home, I got some new photos of Mousie and Bob:

I bothered Mousie just as I was leaving. She sat up, looked at me, and made that face that can only be described as, "What, again?" She isn't too fond of my disappearing acts.

Eventually, she decided she didn't care.

And Bob is aging quite gracefully. His bum is slightly smaller than it should be, but he's hanging in there like a good Lovecraftian horror. He was actually asleep during all of the photo-taking, only waking up when I shut the lid.

Art! Yay!

Aww, Not Impressed kitty and... *gulp*... big, big spider guy. I have a soft spot for anything with the name Bob, though. *does a little 'awww' for him, too*

Bob is pretty much the world's biggest ball of lazy. He's about as threatening as a houseplant. And with as many braincells. :3

With spiders, the general rule seems to be, the bigger they are, the less harmful they are. Tarantula venom is about as irritating as a bee sting, if that, and most species are so chill that they won't bite, even if provoked.

Bob's go-to reaction to being bothered is to throw his toes up over his face and run into a corner.

Okay... now a real "Awwww" is warranted.

Being squeamish over teh big, hairy spider is just a generalization/instinctual misunderstanding. :)

While you are getting on the ball about arting, you still need to give me infos for us paying you for the last artings! *pokes*

Hey, man, I had some good excuses as to why I haven't arted -- I've been looking for IRL work, and it involved driving 250 miles (one way!) for an interview, and then driving another 200 miles to go see my mom on her birthday. That ball is a tricky little bugger.

And I called BoA, and they said they will honor a check written for Canadian dollars. So go ahead and just send a normal check, and they auto-convert it when I deposit it.

Hmmmm...

Ah yes, the oh so familiar "we are not amused" kitty expression when you "abandon" them (or don't pony up the treats).

Um .. yeah. Bob. Hi Bob. (Safely at a 3,000 mile photographic distance big hairy kinda Bob.)

But most of all - YAY ART!!

I think the largest inconvenience for Mousie that comes from my absence is that my father won't give her catnip, or pepperoni, or bacon, or any of the things she really likes. She has to content herself with stealing his coffee. So, me being home is open season on people food and cat drugs. >:3

Bob: *sleeps, as is the way of the spider*

My mother was. at one time, terrified of Bob, but I have caught her giving him a bagful of ice in the middle of summer-- "He's hot! He doesn't have a fan!" --and a hot water bottle in the winter. I will say, he seemed appreciative, in that he sleeps on these gifts.
