Less so than she was yesterday -- on the way to the beach, she hit a tumbleweed the size of a person. There's a nice sized scratch all the way across her nose. I'm fairly surprised it didn't show up in the picture.
As for the scenery, my dad continually gets a kick that the city's defining feature is the rock in the background: "The place is so boring that they had to name the rock? My god." And then I whack him with the nearest rolled up newspaper. Because this is our relationship.
Alcoa's nearby nest has three eaglets this year (and they all are thriving despite the one being nearly a week younger than the other two). I love watching the eaglecam. :D
I had just read a ShadowRun supplement on Paranormal Botany in the Sixth World that included Tumblenauts, so this sort of thing is inevitable, really... XD

But, but... it is such a lovely background to a city. Don't forget the water and boats and all. It's so different from what I'm used to.
