Ladies and gentlebeens, may I present...

...Frankie.

Frankie.

Frankie.

Frankie is my test fish for the behavioral modification section of Companion Animal. I'm going to be teaching him to come to the surface for food when I tap on the glass.

I've wanted a fish for a while, and this just gave me an excuse to finally go and get one. Frankie is currently in my room, but once he's settled in and used to his new tank, I may move him to the living room so random can also enjoy his fishy fishiness. :3

Ha! I was just thinking about that show the other day. X3

He has lipstick?

Technically, both lipstick and eyeliner.

The black colouration is around his eyes and lips, but nowhere else on his face. I'll try and get a better picture later. It's actually why he's called "Frankie" -- one of my classmates thought it made him look like Dr. Frank-n-Furter. X3

In more than one sense of the word. He likes swimming like a maniac -- which is why the pictures are blurry; I couldn't get him to hold still long enough to get a good one. X3

Would that count as a second trick to teach him.
1. come to surface for food when glass tapped
2. pose for picture when ??

Hahaha, I wish.

I don't think fish can learn "stay."

Well, he's not a shark; pausing movement won't kill him. I've known bettas who would hang motionless for several minutes at a time.

Usually staring balefully out of the glass at another betta. eta: USE A MIRROR!
