Hoooolmes...!

Might go see Sherlock Holmes tomorrow. If I can get my dad to let go of the offense of Robert Downey, Jr. playing Holmes, anyway.

It's not like I have anywhere to be on Christmas.

Ahem.

In the interim, though... ed and elibeens and random will all probably like this:

Yes. :3 ♥

Hopefully, if the new movie does nothing else, it increases the Holmes-love in the world.

Because then we get more videos like that. :3

Heart issues. Can't have caffeine.

My favorite tea is Earl Gray. D:

Ah, the decaf tea conundrum. I am with you there. (And so is my mother, these days; she has to carry nitro glycerin pills around with her for her heart.)

I have Twinings decaf Earl Grey and it's pretty good! The bergamot is noticeably stronger than in the caffeinated version, though, I have to warn you. Not everyone likes that. I got used to it, but I used to make huge batches of it mixed with decaf Red Rose (which is orange pekoe) to cut the flavour somewhat.

I haven't ever noticed a difference flavour-wise with decaf green tea.

I turned out to really like rooibos tea, which is naturally caffeine free. It's a bit astringent on it's own; I like it with honey. It does well in various mixes, although I don't much like the Starbucks take on it, which has hyssop and hibiscus and rose hips and comes out even more astringent. My fave variation so far is a local mix I got at the farmer's market, which has all the flowers from my home river valley mixed in. :3 If I ever find it again, maybe I'll ship you a package! :D?

I have never had the Twinings decaf! :o

I've tried the Bigelow, several times. While not terrible, it's still... off. I dunno how to explain it. It's like how Turkey bacon just isn't bacon? Like that.

I would love tea from an ely. <3

[identity profile] eliyes.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Dam it, and I just saw it on sale, too! I will go back next week and see if I can get you some.

Eh, Bigelow.

I wish I could find that guy again. I've been carefully rationing what's left of that tea; it's almost compltely gone. Do you do loose teas? Do you need a tea ball if I send you loose tea?

I can find the decaf Twinings, I've just never had it. :3

*pulls out small, acorn-shaped tea ball*

It is my 'corn. I loves it so. :3

[identity profile] eliyes.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
You should! Get a little pack, though, in case you don't like it.

D'aww, acorn-shaped. Mine's just a ball. Okay, so, if I find that awesome tea agin, MUST BUY SOME FOR KIFFIE AS WELL AS ME. Noted. ;3
