Plan for Monday

There is a crow on campus who has a severely overgrown lower beak. From the side, he looks like an upside-down pickaxe. But he still gets along, even if he has to turn his head sideways to drink.

I see him almost every day, rooting through the grass on Dexter with about five of his buddies.

I think I'm going to take them all some beef jerky. I hope he can eat it.

My friend and I went swimming (in a lake! It was by first time. :D) for a day and took a lunch with us, and while we were in the water, maybe a half-murder of crows decided our knapsacks were veeeeeerrry interesting.

We ended up bribing them to leave our blueberry tarts alone with about a half a sub sandwich and as many chips as they could steal.

There's also a crow on my university campus who very distinctly caws "Allah!" He tends to lurk in the trees around the chapel. X3 There used to be one that went "Hello girlie!" but I haven't heard from him in a couple of years.

Bribery only works to a point -- they tend to learn, after a while, and then will only cooperate until they know you won't give them the main part of the meal. Then you should run. X3

Ahahaha! I want that crow! I wonder if you could also teach him to bow at the call to prayer?

Well, I never went back to that lake. XD

Possibly, although honestly he must be pretty old now by crow standards. In fact, I suspect he has been replaced by , like, a protégè crow. Allah Crow II.

A long linage of talking crows. I wholeheartedly support this. :D
