I shall sum it up.

SPOILERS!

Jim Hammond: Hi, I'm the Torch. I'll be helping out on the mission!

Hawkeye: Hey. I don't seem to remember you, despite serving with you for nearly two years, but okay. 'Sup.

Jim Hammond: I also speak and act in a strange, dated manner, even though I've been active for nearly three decades in the modern world.

Captain Britain: I also dislike you for some reason. B|

Jim Hammond: I am going to save this small child OH NO I HAVE BEEN STABBED.

Hank Pym: I am a robotics genius, but I have no idea how to fix this robot, whose overall technological complexity is equivalent to a Volkswagen Beetle.

Avengers: WOE.

To be fair, I didn't exactly have high hopes for this particular series to begin with.

The writer pretty much demonstrated he knew very little about Jim's immediate history when he gave an interview a few months back. I was willing to try the book simply because Jim was in it -- favorite character, doesn't get used enough, yadda yadda.

The last issue did have a few great lines in it, and made me at least willing to pick up this issue... but this particular issue hasn't impressed be terribly. Especially the dialogue. It's hit and miss to the extreme. :/

Tis a dangerous trap, those kind of hopes -- that's what had me trying some of the reboot shite in DCland against my better judgement, after all.

*has one book standing of DC at this point*

Tell me about it.

Thankfully, there's a surprisingly active Invaders fandom on the internet. I get my fix from other sources. :3

Maybe you can do what edward_hyde is doing, and rewatch Justice League Unlimited -- all the good feels, all for you.

Yaaaay <3

I've never seen Justice League Unlimited >.>;;

It's almost a little tempting, though, have to say; only works so far, though, because most of the folks I'm reeeeeaaaaallly attached to aren't in there. It does have some Important People, though, yup.

Alternately, watch Batman: The Brave and the Bold?

Jonah Hex coined the term "Bat-Hombre," which is adorable.

ROFL this is the most accurate summary ever!

Hank Pym: I am a robotics genius, but I have no idea how to fix this robot, whose overall technological complexity is equivalent to a Volkswagen Beetle.
