Does anyone on my flist own any of the 70th Anniversary Specials that Marvel released back in 2009?
I'm tossing around the idea of getting the hardcover collection that features the whole lot of them, but am unsure if the majority are good. I already own both the Sub-Mariner and All-Winners Squad issues (both were fantastic, btw), but have heard mixed reviews on the others. Honestly, I'd really just be buying it for the Human Torch story-- the previews I've seen* make me WANT like nothing else --but wouldn't mind having the other stories if they were good.
Otherwise, I may make a trip over to Mile High Comics and just get the single Torch issue. Seems a waste to mail away for one comic, though. Any recommendations on other, possibly unrelated, books I may like, in case I go that route?
*Wherein we also learn that Jim likes the Yankees. Someone needs to write conversation between Jim and Steve re: their respective favorite teams. *cackles*
